5% of WAFE profits goes towards KIDS against PLASTIC
Tackling kitchen waste can be a tricky one, especially when we all live busy, hectic lifestyles and the kitchen is often the "hub" of family households.
Baking paper cannot be recycled, foil can be recycled but only in certain conditions, meaning it too often just ends up in landfill. Items like baking paper and foil that are single use are also incredibly wasteful and a really good place to make some eco friendly swaps. They take up a huge amount of resources, packaging and energy to make to create something that is going to be used once and then thrown away.
These reusable, FDA approved silicone baking mats from WAFE(which stands for Water, Air, Fire and Earth) are a great way to switch a single use product to a reusable one, not only saving you money in the long term, also saving you from throwing more away to landfill.
This set contains:
- 2 x baking mats - 2 x Large mats (37 x 25cm)
- 1 x Extra large pastry mat (60cm x 40cm)
- 1 x handy snap band to store them away
- 1 x mini oven glove
The pastry mat is absolutely fab for home bakers. With handy measurements included in the design, it provides a large non stick surface area to roll out and knead dough, making baking less messy and less fuss!
To look after your mats, simply clean in warm soapy water after use. You can pop these in the dishwasher too!
As these are non stick, it reduces the need for oil when cooking, making it a healthier option. They are also colour coded so you can assign each colour to a food category to stop any cross contamination.
Ideal for home baking, rolling out dough etc on a perfectly non stick surface.
Please note - due to the size of the large pastry mat, we will be posting these out of their original box folded up.
About WAFE
WAFE was founded in 2018 by two friends Harvey and Tobi that met at the University of Loughborough over 10 years ago. They went into partnership to create a positive change in the world and after researching the effects plastic is having on our planet, wanted to focus their energy on creating premium and uniquely designed homeware products that offer a better alternative and can replace everyday plastic products.
