Switching from plastic sponges to natural sponges is such an easy swap to do. Microplastics from sponges, not to mention the plastic packaging they normally come wrapped in end up in our rivers and in our water systems. 

These washing up pads from LoofCo are made from the Loofah plant, meaning they are completely natural, biodegradable, vegan friendly and sustainably produced. 

They feel all tough and scratchy when you first get them and become spongey and softer when immersed in water. They have a cotton loop meaning you can hang them to dry properly after use. Each pad will last months and can then be put into the home compost bin. 

Use exactly as you would a normal washing up sponge. When you are finished, shake to remove any food particles and squeeze out excess water. Hang to air and dry.
